 Summary Description: The Arts Mean Business is a workshop intended to empower creative professionals of all industries and connect them with resources. This course seeks to provide creative professionals with practical resources, highlight the economic impact of arts in our region, and inspire innovative collaborations. Topics include:

  • Access to grant funding, opportunities and professional development
  • An overview of the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA)’s new Colorado Attorneys for the Arts (CAFTA) program, a pro bono legal referral service, connecting creative entities to volunteer lawyers.
  • Creative economy impact highlights for Colorado and metro Denver

12:05 - 12:20 CBCA programs and services with focus on CAFTA - How to engage and apply models in your own community. Speaker: Meredith Badler, Program Manager Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA).

12:20 - 12:40 Case study: The Arts and Economic Activity in Metro Denver and Colorado the SCFD tax district model. Speakers: Christy Costello & Meredith Badler
